Vertical farming is the practice of producing food and medicine in vertically stacked layers, vertically inclined surfaces and/or integrated in other structures (such as in a skyscraper, used warehouse, shipping container, and even on rooftops).

These farms use high-tech method to optimise land use and overcome the limitations of traditional farming with minimal manpower needed. The produces are without pesticides or herbicides which greatly reduce the amount of water, land and chemicals used in producing the same amount of produce conventionally. Tour one of these farms, understand the innovations, sustainability and the challenges of its operations.
